Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions outline the expectations, responsibilities, and policies associated with services provided by Trailhead Dog Co. By booking or participating in services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
Services Provided: Trailhead Dog Co. provides adventure-focused dog services, including but not limited to Adventure Training, Adventure Board & Train, Solo Adventures, Trailhead Camp, Trailhead Stay, Field Trips, transportation, and related activities. Services will be provided as agreed upon during the booking process. Any changes to services must be approved in advance.
Assumption of Risk: Outdoor adventures involve inherent risks, including but not limited to uneven terrain, wildlife encounters, environmental conditions, transportation, interactions with other dogs, and off-leash activity. While Trailhead Dog Co. takes reasonable precautions to prioritize safety, no outdoor activity is entirely without risk. By participating in services, you acknowledge these risks and voluntarily accept responsibility for your dog's participation.
Release of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by Utah law, you release and hold harmless Trailhead Dog Co., its owners, employees, contractors, and representatives from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your dog's participation in services, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
Owner Responsibility: You confirm that you are the legal owner of your dog and have the authority to enter into this agreement. You agree to provide accurate and current information regarding your dog's health, vaccination status, behavior, medications, dietary needs, and emergency contacts.
Pet Health and Behavior: You confirm that your dog is in good health, free from contagious illness, and current on all required vaccinations. You agree to disclose any medical conditions, behavioral concerns, or special needs prior to participating in services. This includes but is not limited to:
Aggression toward people or dogs
Bite history
Resource guarding
Reactivity
Escape tendencies
Separation anxiety
Medical conditions requiring special care
Failure to disclose known behavioral or medical concerns may result in immediate removal from services.
Vaccination Requirements: All dogs participating in Trailhead services must be current on:
Rabies
Bordetella
DHPP/DAPP (or equivalent core vaccination)
Proof of vaccination may be requested at any time.
Adventure Board & Train: During Adventure Board & Train, your dog will reside with Trailhead Dog Co. for the duration of the program. You confirm that your dog is suitable for a home environment and that all behavioral concerns have been disclosed in full. Programs are customized to the individual dog. Because long-term success depends on owner participation and consistency after the program concludes, Trailhead Dog Co. cannot guarantee specific training outcomes or behavior changes. A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required to reserve a Board & Train spot.
Off-Leash Activity: Dogs may participate in off-leash activities when deemed safe, appropriate, and beneficial by Trailhead Dog Co. By participating in services, you acknowledge and accept the risks associated with off-leash environments, including potential injury, loss, or escape.
Group Environments: Dogs participating in Trailhead Camp, Field Trips, or other group activities are carefully screened before joining group adventures. While every effort is made to create safe and compatible groups, interactions between dogs are inherently unpredictable. You acknowledge and accept the risks associated with group participation.
Transportation: You authorize Trailhead Dog Co. to transport your dog to and from activity locations as necessary. Reasonable safety precautions will be taken during transportation. By participating in services, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with vehicle travel.
Memberships and Packs: Memberships renew automatically on the same date each month unless canceled with at least 14 days written notice. Membership fees are non-refundable once a billing cycle begins. Adventure packs expire 60 days from the date of purchase. Unused sessions are non-refundable and cannot be extended.
Payment and Cancellation: Payment is due according to the terms provided during booking or invoicing. Cancellations or rescheduling requests made within 48 hours of a scheduled service will be charged in full. No-shows are treated the same way. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in limited booking privileges or removal from recurring services. Late or unpaid balances may result in suspension of services until payment is received.
Access and Security: When services require access to your home or property, you authorize Trailhead Dog Co. to enter for the purpose of providing care and services. Please ensure all keys, codes, instructions, and access information are accurate and up to date. Trailhead Dog Co. is not responsible for consequences resulting from denied or delayed access.
Client Supplies: Clients are responsible for providing any necessary food, medications, supplements, or special care items required by their dog. You agree to notify Trailhead Dog Co. of any hazards or circumstances that could affect the safety of your dog or our staff.
Emergency Veterinary Care: In the event of illness, injury, or another emergency, Trailhead Dog Co. will make reasonable efforts to contact you and your designated emergency contact. If immediate veterinary care is necessary and you cannot be reached, you authorize Trailhead Dog Co. to seek treatment on your behalf and make reasonable decisions regarding your dog's care. You agree to assume full financial responsibility for any veterinary expenses incurred.
Right to Refuse or Remove: Trailhead Dog Co. reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or remove any dog from services at any time for reasons including safety, health, behavior, compatibility, or welfare concerns. Whenever possible, we will communicate these decisions directly and discuss next steps.
Photos and Videos: Unless otherwise requested in writing, you grant Trailhead Dog Co. permission to photograph and record your dog during services. Photos and videos may be used for client updates, social media, website content, marketing materials, and other business purposes. You may withdraw this permission at any time by providing written notice.
No Guarantee of Results: Dogs are individuals and training outcomes vary. While Trailhead Dog Co. will make every reasonable effort to help your dog succeed, no specific behavioral outcome, training result, or level of performance can be guaranteed.
Governing Law: These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Utah. If any provision of this agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
